This company is a prominent player in the Construction/ Residential development sector, known for its innovative approach to property solutions and offering large accommodation-based schemes covering Housing / Student / Residential sectors

The Role

As a Finance Manager, you will report to the Finance Director and play a crucial role in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:

  • Production of Management Accounts
  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate forecast for P&L and Cash Flow by working closely with the MD
  • Providing Financial analysis for funding negotiations and assist with the production of the monthly funding drawdowns
  • Supporting the production of statutory Accounts and be the main contact for the Auditors
  • Ensuring all Ledgers are up to date and reconciled every month
  • Developing and monitoring finance processes and systems to ensure they support the future needs of the business
  • Offer line management to an Accounts Assistant and offer coaching and mentoring

Required knowledge and experience for the Finance Manager role:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or nearly qualified
  • Experience of working in a growing SME environment, within the Property / Construction sector
  • Experience in management accounting and finance business partnering within the property / construction sector
  • Possess a good balance of both technical and Management accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and being comfortable with presenting to senior stakeholders

This role is initially offered as a 6 Month contract however there is a strong potential to become permanent thereafter.
