Interim Financial Accountant - Goodman Masson : Job Details

Job Title: Interim Financial AccountantLocation: LondonContract: Interim (6-12 months)

About Us:I am working with a high-growth private equity firm who are looking for a skilled and motivated Interim Financial Accountant to support the finance team during an exciting period of change and growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial professional to gain exposure to the private equity sector while working with a collaborative and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation of all accounts.
• Assist with the preparation of management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and other financial reports for internal stakeholders.
• Support the production of quarterly and annual financial statements for investors and regulators.
• Perform variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial Date.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CAANZ, ACCA or equivalent) with a strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Previous experience within financial accounting in a private equity, investment management, or similar fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of managing month-end, year-end close, and reporting processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders..
