We have an exciting opportunity on behalf of our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing SME, to join their finance team as an Interim Financial Change Consultant. This is a high-impact role with the potential to make a significant difference in a thriving organisation.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled financial professional to step into this interim role and provide essential support during a critical growth phase. You will play a key part in ensuring the stability of their finance operations by managing core accounting tasks with autonomy. This role will be pivotal in assisting the senior finance team, enabling them to focus on high-priority projects and tight deadlines.

  • Position: Interim Financial Change Consultant
  • Location: Winnersh Triangle Head Office, Berkshire
  • Rate: £600 outside IR35
  • Duration: Until the end of March 2025

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Deliver high-quality support on financial reporting, audit preparation, and annual budgeting.
  • Assist with accounts payable (AP) operations, resolving system inefficiencies and preventing backlogs.
  • Independently manage designated financial tasks, ensuring precision and timeliness.
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot areas of improvement to enhance process efficiency.
  • Provide clear, consistent communication to senior finance stakeholders, delivering insights and updates as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven track record as a Management Accountant, thriving in demanding environments.
  • Expertise in financial systems (Sage 50 essential) and AP systems.
  • Strong audit, budgeting, and monthly reporting experience.
  • Adaptable and highly analytical with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter who can independently manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Effective communicator, especially under pressure or during peak periods.
