Interim Financial Controller - AFR Consulting : Job Details

This private equity backed industrial group is going through a significant period of expansion, having made a number of strategic acquisitions they are now looking for an experienced Financial Controller level candidate for an interim period of 2-3 months, possibly longer. The role will support the CFO and rest of the finance team through a busy period as they build up to year end.

The position will be office based and the role would suit someone IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE who has a good grounding in technical accounting, month end duties, acquisition accounting and year end / audit preparation work, pulling schedules together etc. Suitable applicants must ideally be CIMA / ACCA or ACA qualified with a level of experience where they operate as part of a team but with a degree of autonomy and a flexible approach to also get involved with project work. Ideally they would like to recruit from the Carlisle / Cumbria area but candidates from further afield may also be considered and potentially some financial support given for accommodation during the week if needed.
