Interim Group Reporting IFRS16 - HW People : Job Details

HW Finance are delighted to be working with a large privately owned business based in Wakefield. This is a crucial role within core finance looking after all IFRS16 accounting responsibilities.

The successful candidate must be capable of working in a stand-alone project role but also comfortable working in a large group accounting function.

Key areas of responsibility are:

• Familiar with IFRS16 / ASC842 / FRS102 standards
• Understand how to transition from IAS to IFRS16, or UK GAAP to FRS102
• Income statement & statement of financial position reporting implications in respect to IFRS16/FRS102
• Disclosure reporting
• Knowledge of double entry accounting
• Advise the business on industry best practices regarding property and lease management

The person:

• Qualified accountant - ACA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent
• Substantial post qualified experience
• Experience managing large finance projects
• Comprehensive understanding of IFRS16 lease accounting treatment
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment, to multitask, to get into detail where needed and to meet deadlines on a timely basis
• Strong relationship and communication skills
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
