Description

• Direct and control finance staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed.
• Provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting Strategy to optimise the company's financial performance and strategic position.
• Contribute to the development of the company's strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organisation.
• Ensure effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
• Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organisation.
• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organisation.
• Control and forecast income and expenditure to ensure the efficient use of resources.
• Advise on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.

Profile

A successful 'Interim Head of Finance' should have:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Proven leadership skills in the Accounting & Finance department.
• Experience with M&A
• Strong understanding of financial trends within the transport and distribution industry.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
• Proficiency in accounting software and statistical packages.
• Solid ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
