The Interim Internal Auditor role is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to support and strengthen the financial oversight of a leading manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of internal auditing, from planning to reporting, ensuring the company's financial integrity.

Description

  • Proven experience in finance and internal control environments, ideally within a global business.
  • Experience in auditing, internal controls, or finance-related roles, with skills and experience equivalent to an Audit Manager level.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls standards
  • In-depth understanding of financial and business control frameworks and best practice
  • Perform testing of controls for effectiveness and compliance, identifying potential risks and weaknesses in current practices.
  • Ensure all controls meet regulatory standards and are in full compliance with the business
  • Monitor compliance across multiple departments and report any non-compliance or areas of concern
  • Work with internal teams, inside and outside finance, to assess control systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports summarizing testing results, control performance, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to support the compliance audit trail.

Profile

  • Ability to identify issues in controls and processes and suggest effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and determine actionable outcomes.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to think critically and identify improvements or corrective actions in control processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • The role will involve travel (solo or in a small group) to the business' locations in Europe. The ability to independently execute documentation and testing without close supervision is essential.

Job Offer

A successful Interim Internal Auditor should have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • 12 month interim assignment
  • There will be a HIGH degree of travel with this role across the UK and Europe
  • £450 per day
