Marks Sattin is partnering with a household name organisation in Central Birmingham to recruit an Interim IT Finance Business Partner on a 3-4 month interim assignment (a contract extension is possible). The role is a hybrid working role, which will require 2 days per week in the Central Birmingham offices.
The IT Finance Business Partner will manage the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities within the IT Category, to drive business performance and benefit realisation. The role manages IT's finances to ensure optimal business performance and value optimisation from IT spend. The ideal candidate will have experience managing the financial and business performance across an IT Category.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim IT Finance Business Partner include:
- Developing financial plans and forecasts in collaboration with IT SLT.
- Collating required financial data and reports for analysis and to facilitate decision making.
- Advising IT stakeholders on financial planning, budgeting, costing, accounting and charging using recognised accounting practices and standards.
- Assisting with identifying and calculating process, service, project, and component costs to feed into the organisations IT financial plans and forecasts.
- Collating required financial data and reports for analysis and to support wider decision making within IT function.
- Monitoring of information quality and ensuring information provided is suitable for analysis and controlling, as well as recording IT costs.
- Developing periodic variance and trend analysis and insight, including the identification of cost reduction opportunities and financial risks.
- Preparing operational planning data for single and multi-year financial planning.
- Executing Purchase Order and invoicing processes.
- Monitoring benefits realised from contracts and raise where relevant when expected outcomes are not met.
To be considered, you must:
- Have a recognised accounting/finance qualification
- Have experience Business Partnering with IT, managing spend and business performance
- Have knowledge of business financials and reporting processes
- Have knowledge of standard SLAs and vendor contracts
- Have knowledge of ERP systems
- Have experience compiling and analysing operational forecasts and planning, including producing complex visuals using relevant tools
- Have experience working with corporate financials in a complex, multi-vendor environment
- Have good communication skills with the ability to deal with senior stakeholders
