Change is partnering with a reputable organisation based in Edinburgh that is seeking an Interim Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled finance professional with experience in management accounting, looking to contribute to a dynamic organisation during a period of change and growth.

As the Interim Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial reporting and management accounting functions, helping the business navigate a busy financial period. This role requires a strong focus on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, along with the ability to work with various stakeholders across the business.

Location: Edinburgh, ScotlandContract Type: Fixed term contract (4 months, with potential extension)Salary £45,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyse financial data to provide insights into operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Support with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Manage the preparation of month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Assist with variance analysis and commentary for senior management.
• Support in the development and monitoring of financial controls and processes.
• Assist with audits and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as required by the business.
• Collaborate with business managers to provide financial guidance and support.

About You:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent), or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience in a management accounting role is essential.
• Strong Excel skills
• Previous experience working with Netsuite or similar ERP system.
• Experience with month-end processes, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
• Highly organised, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Previous experience in an interim role
