The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the day-to-day payroll processing activities across UK lines of business, while ensuring timely and accurate delivery in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities -
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, statutory reporting, and audit support for UK operations
- Manage and develop direct reports to support payroll functions and succession planning
- Adapt departmental priorities to address resource and operational challenges
- Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, fulfilling the Company's contractual obligations
- Maintain strong relationships with internal partners
- Address payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders, escalating when necessary
- Resolve legal entity concerns regarding the payroll process
- Suggest enhancements for process improvement and efficiency
Candidate requirements -
- Extensive experience, preferably leading a payroll team for a large multinational employer
- Have a payroll management qualification
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll practices, regulations, and taxes
- Expertise in handling expenses, benefits, and perquisites, including tax treatments
- Strong leadership skills to achieve both individual and team objectives
