Interim Senior Management AccountantLocation: Chesterfield - Hybrid (2 days WFH)Salary: Up £60,000Length: 6 Month FTC with a view to go permanentElevation Senior Finance are partnering with a successful and fast-growing business in Chesterfield who are looking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant for their team. This is a high-profile role within the business as you will have a lot of exposure to the senior management team.  Your ability to successfully communicate with non-financial managers and department heads will be key to your success in the role.You will be responsible for a team of 3 who are responsible for preparing the management accounts for the UK business. You will be responsible for analysing the month-end numbers and producing a detailed management pack.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly group management accounts
• Review of P&L Analysis reporting
• Presentation of numbers to senior management team
• Management of customer rebates, reconciliation and approval of payment
• Preparation of UK VAT return
• Reporting of daily cashflow for group
• Management of a small team covering bank reconciliations, payments, expenses and company credit cards
• Assistance with preparation of year end audit for group
• Support for Finance Manager and Finance Director
• Commercial reporting - sales / margin analysis
• Calculation of sales commissions and bonus payments
• Process / system improvements
• Support company wide projects

Key skills / qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant - ACCA / CIMA / ACA
• Previous experience in a management accounting role
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong Excel skills, including good knowledge of using pivot table, lookups, sumifs
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Team management experience desirable
