An exciting opportunity to join a growing Engineering business in W. Berkshire as an interim payroll manager (UK), immediately. Managing a small team with approx. 2,000 employees across the UK.

Description

Interim UK Payroll Lead

  • Processing of monthly payrolls - with pension and benefits included
  • Preparation and submission of monthly RTI's to HMRC
  • System management
  • Process BACS for all UK Payrolls
  • Oversight of 2,000 employees across multiple payrolls
  • Manage a small team of payroll administrators (team of 5)
  • Prepare all information for all external and internal reports
  • Year end procedures - e.g. P11D's for all payrolls
  • Escalation point for all payroll queries for the payroll team and wider employees

Profile

Interim UK Payroll Lead

  • Immediately available or available on short notice
  • Coverage of multiple payroll frequencies (Monthly, Weekly, Bi-Weekly etc.)
  • Strong experience of team management and leading
  • Ability to process end to end payroll (manually)
  • CIPP qualifications (desirable)
  • Knowledge of current payroll legislation
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong accounting/payroll background
  • Commutable distance to W. Berkshire

  • Salary: Dependent on previous experience/interview performance (hourly rate equivalent to c. £60,000 - £68,000 per annum)

  • Working Pattern: Typically office based 4 days, 1 day WFH
  • Flexible start and finish times
  • 37 hours per week
