Interim VAT Consultant - Robertson Bell : Job Details

Robertson Bell are working with an independent school in Berkshire to recruit an interim VAT Consultant for a 12 month period. The position will aid the school in getting the organisation ready for the government changes for VAT in independent schools.

The main responsibilities of the Interim VAT Consultant are:

• Review the current Tax and VAT policies and processes of the organisation.
• Implement the changes to how the school does their VAT. Including setting up new processes and procedures.
• Complete this process for the next three terms.

This role is hybrid working however does have the potential to part time if desired (depending on experience. This is an interesting (and relatively unique) assignment that could lead to future work with other independent schools looking to do similar.

To be considered, the organisation is looking for candidates who:

• Have a strong understanding of UK VAT laws and regulations.
• Understand (or are able to bring themselves up to speed with) the recent changes to VAT for independent schools.
• Immediately available or on a short notice period.
• Able to work in the offices 1-2 days per week.
• Comfortable operating at both a strategic level whilst also rolling up their sleeves to make the changes.
