Our client is a high-end luxury interior design company specializing in bespoke projects for HNWI’s. They are looking for an experienced General Manager from the interior design sector. The ideal candidate will have a credible profile in the sector and have gravitas, an understanding of the local culture, strong leadership qualities and meet the criteria mentioned below. You will need your own car and be able to travel around the UAE and occasionally throughout the GCC. Description:

• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals, focusing on revenue growth, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of high-end interior design projects, ensuring they meet time, quality, and budget requirements
• Maintain and grow relationships with high-net-worth clients, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded, while delivering a personalized service
• Lead and mentor a team of designers, project managers, and operational staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, proactivity, and accountability.
• Continuously improve project delivery processes, leveraging technology (ERP systems) to streamline workflows and ensure efficiency
• Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets. Ensure all projects maintain a 15% profit margin as a minimum
• Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team productivity, project timelines, and client satisfaction (Net Promoter Score targets)
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring the highest quality standards for materials and execution
• Champion the integration of AI technologies into the business for design enhancements and operational improvements

Criteria:

• Knowledge of Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly design practices
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing high-end interior design or related luxury services. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong understanding of luxury interiors, including materials, design trends, and execution processes
• Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver large-scale, high-end projects while maintaining profitability and client satisfaction
• Exceptional team leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams toward a common goal
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals
• Proficiency in project management tools, ERP systems (Epicor preferred), and AI-driven design or operational technologies
• Analytical mindset with the ability to foresee potential challenges and implement proactive solutions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage but not essential
• You must have hold a valid UK driving license as there will be occasional throughout the UAE
