Business Support Manager - City & Capital : Job Details

We at the City and Capital group are pleased to be representing a boutique specialist property finance lender with plans to expand their operation in the UK.

Our client are the wholly-owned subsidiaries of a major international conglomerate with a market capitalisation of £4.5bn, our client is a diversified conglomerate with six core businesses - plantations, property investment and development, credit financing, automotive, trading and building materials.

The business started more than 3 decades ago and has established itself as a leading non-bank financial institution. Over the years, it has established several credit operations in parts of Asia, Australia and now, the United Kingdom.

The UK operation provides short to medium term unregulated funding, loans up to £10 million, for Commercial Property in England and Wales.

Due to strategic growth plans our client are keen to broaden the strength of their origination team with the appointment of a confident Internal Business Development Manager who will take responsibility for assisting the Head of Birmingham and the Business Development Managers with progressing incoming enquiries.

Although the full role duties are yet to be confirmed, it is expected that You will pick up deals directly from our clients active BDMs and direct from incoming enquiries from Brokers / Clients with a view to developing and presenting credit papers to drive an initial decision in principle.

The ideal individual for this role will be confident, with excellent communication & relationship building skills, with a passion for property finance. You will work with the other members of the sales team, taking written and telephone enquiries, assessing them in accordance with our clients lending policy, issuing indicative terms to brokers and submitting credit proposals to the underwriting team.

The current underwriting team is very experienced and personable and all work with a 'can do’ attitude and are willing to roll up the sleeves for each other to ensure success is achieved. Due to this you will be able to rely on their knowledge and expertise when referring potential deals to determine which loans are deemed acceptable and reject any which do not meet the criteria or where the Underwriter does not believe the borrower will be able to repay

Our client are looking to pay up to c£50k as a basic salary for the ideal individual where possible, relevant to experience and performance at interview, as you would expect. Higher offers may be considered for exceptional talent. This will be complemented by a discretionary bonus and will also include access to our clients favorable benefits package.
