- They are now looking to recruit an Internal Technical Sales Representative to support the business on a permanent basis. The Job You’ll be Doing
- Analyse customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions to meet their specific requirements.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products.
- Deliver product presentations to customers.
- Handling inbound customer and representative sales calls
- Answer inbound calls; take messages or redirect calls to the appropriate department
- Ensure orders are entered on time and accurately into the ERP system
- Provide technical training to sales team members to enhance their understanding of the company’s products and improve their selling techniques.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, product datasheets, and application notes to support sales and marketing efforts.
- Develop sale strategies, identifying opportunities, and closing deals.
- Provide technical assistance during pre-sales and post-sales interactions to address customer inquiries effectively.
- Basic RMA/Handoff and customer complaint administration
- Sales inbox triage
- Liaise across internal departments to ensure customers’ needs are met
- Support the wider team functions and carry out other tasks where required
About You
- Previous internal technical sales experience is required.
- A background working in manufacturing or engineering is essential.
- Experience of working with technical documents and drawings.
- Experience of working with an ERP system.
- Able to provide customers with quotations and other pricing information.
- Ability to calculate percentages, discounts, interest, proportions.
- Highly IT literate.
- Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and industry events.
