Job Description :

Do you have an aptitude for working in a fast paced and ambiguous policy environment where priorities are not always clear cut ? And do you have strong collaboration skills that you use across team and organisational boundaries?  If so, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Team

The global environment is becoming increasingly turbulent. The pace of change in the global economy is accelerating, and geo-politics and economics are increasingly intertwined, combined with the rapid growth of emerging markets and developing economies. HMT is at the forefront of work to redefine the economic assumptions of recent decades and understand challenges to the global economic order. The Russia, Ukraine and Economic Security team is leading work in HMT to respond to these challenges and support the government’s growth mission by ensuring the UK’s long-run growth is built on secure and resilient foundations.

The team is forging deeper relationships with close partners and crafting the international response to an increasingly hostile global environment. It is driving the Chancellor's agenda to deliver secure and resilient growth by developing stronger international partnerships that yield UK growth and security benefits. The team is also passionate about improving the UK's capability to respond to emerging threats. It is doing so by working very closely with HMT’s Enterprise and Growth Unit and with colleagues across International Group, FCDO, DBT and CO.
