We are seeking a skilled Inventory Management Accountant for our manufacturing client. Responsibilities include managing inventory levels, analysing costs and discrepancies, preparing budgets and forecasts, generating financial reports, establishing controls, and collaborating with various teams.
This requires you to be on site 5 days a week initially, with flexibility occasionally when needed and if do able.

Description
- Analyse costs related to procurement, storage, and handling.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for inventory needs.
- Generate detailed reports on inventory metrics using advanced Excel functions.
- Establish and maintain controls to prevent inventory mismanagement.
- Work with procurement, production, and sales teams to align inventory levels with business needs.
- Ensure inventory management practices comply with accounting standards.
- Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyse inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward.
- Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls.
- Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by customer type by division.
- Review and analyse inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
Profile
The successful Management Accountant should have the following criteria:
- Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience.
- Advanced Excel and accounting software experience..
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate financial information into understandable and actionable insights.
- Hard worker!
