GXO are looking for an Inventory Team Manager to join us at our M&S operation in Milton Keynes. You will support the operational leaders to ensure, through deployment and team management, that all activity is completed in a timely and accurate manner, constantly achieving departmental KPIs.

This is a full time, 12-month fixed term contract role. You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, the hours of work will be 08:00 – 16:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Day to day management of the inventory and administration function, taking responsibility for all aspects of staff performance, including accuracy and process compliance
  • Liaise and develop relationships with internal and external customers to better understand requirements and improve ways of working
  • Lead on all people processes including welfare, performance, KPI management, T&A, coaching, recruitment & selection, appraisals and talent
  • Maintain stock accuracy and integrity in line with contractual requirements, minimising stock loss, through investigation and resolution of errors

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Experience as team manager or team leader within a fast-paced warehouse environment, with a specific focus on stock and inventory, ideally from a food environment
  • You’ll be equipped to motivate your team, taking a key role in creating a positive, productive and rewarding work environment
  • A skilful planner and natural problem solver, you’ll be able to monitor performance against business standards, support resource and costs, enable your team to meet challenging performance targets and communicate effectively across all levels
  • A good organiser with the ability to efficiently manage varied workloads, you’ll use your initiative to analyse and resolve any issues within your department
