Investigator - Red Snapper Group : Job Details

Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for Investigators to support with dangerous dog's investigations for a police force in the midlands.Start date - January 2025Contract length - 6 monthsLocation - Wednesbury Police Station or Dog training centre, Balsall CommonBanding - £18.41p per hourHours - Full timePurpose of the PostThe role is to support our dangerous dog unit, the unit has seen an increase in demand owing to the XL bully legislation.The role will include managing incidents where someone has sustained an injury from a dog, as well as creating court files in relation to banned breeds.This can be an emotive job and does sometimes involve authorising dogs to be euthanised.The successful candidate can work from Wednesbury or Balsall Common, but must be able to operate from a fixed place of work.Main duties and responsibilities

• Interviewing suspects and witnesses
• Taking witness statements
• Creating case files for court

Person Specification

• PIP1 or PIP2 qualified investigator
• Dangerous dog experience would be desirable
