Job DescriptionThe Oversight Analyst will be a member of the Investment Oversight team, delivering 1st Line assurance control improvements and Management Information to the CIO and senior management of the firm. What you'll be doing:
  • Ensuring regulatory developments are embedded into the operating environment and impacted teams adjust their arrangements (policies and procedures) as required
  • Reviewing policies, procedures and any other documentation relevant to Investment ensuring the correct balance of control is counterweighted with the needs of the business
  • Identifying root causes of issues/errors and develop effective remediation plans & improving Investment processes and controls in order to mitigate breaches and improve the overall risk environment.
  • Preparing trend reports, risk themes and , and share findings and common issues with Investment teams to capture 'lessons learnt' thereby improving Investments-wide processes and governance
  • Supporting the Investment teams in complying with the Risk Framework and performing the annual Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA)
  • Representing Investment on the LGIM Operational Resilience forum and support Investment teams in achieving required maturity ratings for business continuity and important business services
  • Supporting the Investments teams in preparation for Internal Audits & Compliance reviews
  • Ensuring the teams are receiving enough 1st Line support in terms of process design and review from the Role Holder and the PDA team
QualificationsWho we're looking for:
  • A breadth of regulatory knowledge; and base understanding of the FCA High Level & Business standards including PRIN, SYSC, COBS, MAR
  • An understanding of the Investment Management industry, products and investment structures, Candidates must have an eye for detail and have the market experience to understand the different asset classes and associated product ranges.
  • Must have worked in Investment / Asset Management in a comparable Compliance or Risk role or have a proven track record in the role's core competencies including compliance monitoring. Audit or process assurance experience would be viewed favourably
  • Able to demonstrate a collaborative approach with other teams to encourage engagement and a positive culture of compliance and risk management on the investments floor
  • The Role Holder should also demonstrate ability to work effectively, both as a collaborative team player but also individually, with great attention to detail, display enthusiasm and a high level of initiative and be a good fit for a dynamic team.
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience and competency in data visualisation tools and Excel. Python experience would be beneficial.
