IT Field Service Engineer

£100 per day.

Long Term Contract Opportunity (6-12 Month Minimum)

We are currently recruiting I.T Field Engineers to work at various sites around York. This is a field based role, so a full, manual UK driving license is a mandatory requirement.

The role involves attending branches of a well known high street chain to conduct site surveys and conduct EPOS equipment installation and break/fix.

Some previous experience in field service engineering, IT installation work or knowledge of IT hardware support is essential. A comprehensive training package relating to the specifics of the role will be provided.

About You:

· Along with the technical aspect of the role, this will be a customer-centric position, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are highly important.

· The role of an IT field service engineer is field based and will require you to travel to various sites, so it is imperative you have a valid driving license and have a flexible approach towards traveling to a variety of locations.

· Practical skills such as DIY experience would be highly beneficial

Additional Skills:

• Proficiency in using hand tools and computer hardware
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting
• Experience in computer repair and maintenance
• Basic hardware knowledge for equipment handling
• Knowledge of computer networking for troubleshooting
• Ability to repair and maintain various types of equipment
