IT Infrastructure Engineer - Cardiff

IT Infrastructure Engineer with good 2nd line and some 3rd line experience in Microsoft Server, network infrastructure, cloud technologies (either Azure or AWS) or Virtualisation, is required by a leading law firm based in Cardiff. The role will be 3 days in the office, and 2 days working from home so you must be able to commute to the Cardiff office.

This role would suit a more junior IT infrastructure engineer / Senior 2nd line IT engineer, looking for that step in their career!

You will work alongside skilled senior engineers to deliver service to users across the firm. As well as troubleshooting issues, you will also work with the team to develop the firm's systems and networks.

Skills and experience:

• Strong 3rd line IT support, acting as a point of escalation for complex issues
• Experience in Microsoft Server administrator as a minimum
• Excellent experience with Virtualisation
• Experience supporting cloud-based solutions, either Azure or AWS would be a bonus
• Experience working with backup software - ideally Veeam
• Networking knowledge around areas including patching and SAN, etc.
• Managing and contributing to technical documentation

The role is due to growth and a big expansion of the IT team, so it is a brilliant time to join. They have some massive projects in the pipeline that you can get involved in from day 1.

The client is looking to pay a starting salary of between £35,000 - £40,000 + hybrid working + benefits.
