Job Description :

We are supporting a fast-growing, acquisitive IT managed services provider (MSP) based in the Marlow area, seeking to recruit a skilled IT Infrastructure Support Lead to lead a talented team of 4 and manage the onboarding process for numerous new customers, following a period of expansion.

The company provides technical support and oursourced IT services primarily to small and medium sized businesses. Services include Azure Virtual Desktop, Remote Desktop, Microsoft 365, Windows 365 and technical support for on-site servers and workstations.

You will be responsible for transferring services from previous IT service providers, setting up the full IT infrastructure from scratch, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, resolving problems for customers with virtual remote and on-site servers.

The IT Infrastructure Support Lead will also be responsible for troubleshooting for creating and implementing technical solutions for new customers. You'll need to be a good all-rounder, helping out with basic PC and networking problems occasionally where required.

You’ll be structured in your approach and have impressive technical and problem solving skills. You’ll need to be adaptable, efficient, open-minded and relish solving technical problems with effective and timely solutions.

The successful applicant will ideally have technical experience in many of the following areas:

  • Microsoft 365 solutions (Exchange, Entra, Intune)
  • SharePoint & Teams site management
  • Windows Server Management, Active Directory, database management, group policy, security, user and group management
  • Network & Firewall
  • IP Telephony
  • Windows OS
  • Apple Mac OS
  • RDS / Terminal Services
  • Microsoft Azure
  • PowerShell

Additionally, we'd like to hear from candidates with the following attributes & experience:

  • Experience of transferring, onboarding and setting up new customers in an MSP environment (essential)
  • Experience of deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 in external customer environments.
  • Hands-on experience of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Security, user and group management.
  • Keen to learn and develop
  • Excellent communication skills

You will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and experience in Azure, virtual servers, hosting and Microsoft 365.

Candidates will require previous experience of working in a managed service provider (MSP) / external client focused environment, with competency in transferring, setting up and onboarding new customers, and a desire to contribute to improving processes and procedures.

There will be opportunities to progress within the company and develop towards a higher level managerial role in the future, if desired.

This is a full time, office based position.

Salary : 35000 - 45000
