IT Internal Audit Manager

Our client, a leading international FTSE 100 company, is seeking an IT Internal Audit Manager to join their Internal Audit & Risk team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, providing assurance over key IT risks globally, from enterprise systems and infrastructure to operational technology.It's a fantastic opportunity for an IT audit professional looking to gain international exposure, take on significant responsibility, and advance their career within a market-leading organisation.This role is based in Central London and operates on a hybrid model (3 days in the office). International travel (approximately 30%) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an IT Internal Audit Plan aligned with the company's IT risk profile.
  • Conduct IT audits across enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and operational technology.
  • Oversee IT audit fieldwork, including working with co-sourced audit partners.
  • Deliver high-quality audit reports, identifying key risks and recommending practical control improvements.
  • Drive the use of data analytics in audits to enhance insights and effectiveness.
  • Support business units in implementing and tracking agreed audit action plans.
  • Act as a key business partner, promoting best practices in IT governance, risk management, and controls.
  • Liaise with external auditors and advisors to ensure a coordinated approach.
  • Contribute to executive and board-level reporting on IT risks and audit findings.
Requirements
  • Degree educated (2:1 or above) in a relevant field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in IT audit (internal or external), risk management, or IT business process controls.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity, IT governance frameworks (COBIT, COSO, NIST, ISO 27001, ITIL), and key technology domains.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and drive improvements in IT risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience delivering audit findings at a senior level.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (30%) as part of global audit engagements.
