About the role
The Booker Group are looking for a dedicated and motivated IS Manager to lead the Field Systems Support team on a 12-Month Fix Term basis. The applicant should have a real passion for technology and thrive with providing outstanding customer service to support Business Centres, Distribution Centres and Support Centres to help improve customer happiness and cash profit.
You will lead a team of nationwide Field Service Engineers who are responsible for replacing hardware in branches & distribution centres, solve system and network issues whilst also diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
This role will be based in Eccles Support Centre with occasional UK-Wide travel depending on team and Business requirements.
Role Responsibility
- Lead Field Team
- Handle the Business Centre Asset system administration.
- Adhere to system critical metrics.
- Generate management information reporting
- Support delivery of the Branch/Field Systems roadmap.
- Maintaining hardware stock locations
You will need
Skills relevant for this job - Desire to learn / supply / drive progress.
- Excellence in building positive relationships with business team members.
- Good technical trouble shooting and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise activities and coordinate own work schedule where applicable
- Ability to balance multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate optimally and efficiently with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change
- Valid Full UK Driving Licence
Experience needed for this job: - Validated ability to lead a remote team
- Good understanding of working with Technology such as; EPOS Systems, RF Devices, printers, thin clients and mobile handheld devices
- Knowledge of networking connectivity
- Knowledge of wholesale industry business processes.
- Service leadership skills.
- Consistent delivery of results.
- Ability to fix, test, repair and service technical equipment
