Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced IT Product Lead to join the Digital Technology & Change Leadership Team in our Solihull office on a hybrid basis. As a valuable team member, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing the nPower Business Solutions (nBS) strategy to enhance the digital customer and colleague experience. Join us in our transition towards a Product led DevOps model and contribute to shaping our operational approach and capabilities as we expand our business. We are currently undergoing a transition and actively seeking individuals who can support us during this period. These leadership positions will play a crucial role in shaping our new operating model, which is focused on adopting a product-oriented approach. nBS is the E.ON Industrial and Commercial (I&C) area of EON and a market leader in the energy retail sector. I&C is a £7 billion revenue business serving c30,000 customers and approximately 250,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.

IT Product Lead

Here's what you'll be doing

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of IT products, ensuring alignment with customer journeys and business objectives.
  • A member of the Digital Technology & Change Senior Leadership Team.
  • Mentor a team of Product Managers, supporting them in defining roadmaps, prioritising backlogs, and delivering value.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, set priorities, and ensure product outcomes support business growth.
  • Monitor product family performance metrics and provide regular updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support the transition to a product operating model by identifying gaps, enabling new ways of working, and mentoring teams.
  • Act as a champion of Agile and DevOps practices, driving a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the overall budget for the product portfolio, up to £20m pa.
  • Manage Third Party IT suppliers.

What we need from you

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing multiple teams or a portfolio of products.
  • Proven track record of IT Product Management and driving customer-focused solutions.
  • Deep understanding of product management principles, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with IT suppliers including Software as a Service (SaaS) providers.

Desirable:

  • Experience aligning products with customer journeys or business capabilities.
  • Familiarity with financial management for product portfolios.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
