IT Support Analyst

- Job Type: Full-time, initially onsite 5 days a week
- Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (with potential rise post-probation)
We are seeking a proactive and energetic IT Support Analyst to provide exceptional IT support services to our business users. This role is crucial for facilitating user engagement with our technology resources and ensuring a seamless support experience. The successful candidate will be pivotal in understanding user needs, identifying underlying challenges, and delivering solutions.
Day to day of the role:
- Setting up new starters, managing user life cycles, and providing support for hardware such as laptops and phones.
- Receiving and monitoring tickets through the support portal, resolving issues independently or escalating as needed.
- Conducting on-site visits to understand and address technical issues.
- Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support for business applications, systems, and networks, emphasizing analytical problem-solving.
- Taking ownership of the service desk and ticket management, ensuring SLAs are met or exceeded.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems.
- Monitoring IT infrastructure’s dashboards and applying critical thinking to pre-empt and resolve issues before they impact operations.
- Collaborating on IT project rollouts and assisting in the rollout of IT projects, both locally and with other teams.
- Training end-users on new and existing IT solutions, tailoring instruction to maximize the effectiveness of available technology.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar IT support role, providing both 1st and 2nd line support.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Office 365.
- A methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a personable demeanour.
- IT qualification is highly beneficial.
