About the company:
Always Networks is an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP). Our aim is to provide trustworthy IT solutions to small and medium businesses, delivered in plain, understandable language. Alongside IT support, we often deliver IT automation, to optimise business processes.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Maintaining and supporting cyber security by following policies and promoting best practices.
- To maintain a high degree of personal and friendly customer service.
- Recording and responding to service desk tickets received by telephone, email or other means.
- Provide first line investigation of both hardware and software faults.
- Resolve basic problems associated with operating systems, network, software, hardware and peripherals.
- To take ownership of issues by carrying out troubleshooting to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the user as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
- Other duties in accordance to role and expectations - to be discussed in the interview
Skills Required:
To be successful in this role you will have some of the following skills and experience, as well as the desire to develop in other areas:
- Logical and creative thinking skills
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- A good understanding of IT, and a willingness to learn.

- A technologist, with a genuine interest in technology.
- A true team player with the ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to relate well to customers, empathise with their issues.
- Self-motivation and personal drive to complete tasks.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
