IT Support / Infrastructure Engineer - Chester - £35-40,000 + Benefits12-Month FTC with potential to go permanentProfessional Services Sector

A highly regarded professional services company, known for their commitment to delivering high-quality, results-focused legal advice through a bespoke, partner-led service are now looking to welcome an experienced IT Support / Infrastructure Engineer to their Chester office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on role within a close-knit team, and is keen to get stuck into both day-to-day support and wider technical projects. It’s a 12-month fixed term role, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent. You'll be covering core hours on a rotating shift between 8am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel to their Altrincham office and some flexibility required for out-of-hours work when needed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting users and infrastructure across the business
  • Administering Active Directory (on-prem and Azure AD)
  • Managing and configuring Windows Server (2016 onwards)
  • Office 365 administration and support
  • Monitoring and maintaining hardware using Intune / Autopilot
  • App and policy deployment via Intune
  • Supporting 8x8 and Teams telephony systems
  • Logging and resolving helpdesk tickets and acting as an escalation point
  • Liaising with external vendors where needed
  • Getting involved in firmwide IT projects

Experience we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years in a similar IT support role, ideally within a professional services environment
  • Strong grasp of AD, Office 365, Windows Server, and Intune
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users
  • Ideally some exposure to MS Security tools (MDFE, Purview), iManage, Aderant, and cloud-based practice management systems
  • Experience within a legal setting is highly desirable
