IT Support Manager
- Based in Stoke-on-Trent
- Salary up to £34,500
- Hybrid role - minimum 2 days in office
- Some travel required to sites in Stoke
About the client:My client is a UK Building Society based in the West Midlands and have been helping members save for their futures and own their own homes since the 1850s. They are now looking for an IT Support Manager to join them.

The IT Support Manager role:
- Manage the IT Service desk including services requests, incidents and problems ensuring a timely resolution to agreed SLAs
- Responsible for all hardware support of Desktops, laptops, mobiles, printers and monitors and all other hardware
- Responsible for all support including Freshworks (Service Desk), various financial applications, Microsoft365 suite, Windows operating systems, adobe, Papercut, TeamViewer, Zscaler, Cisco Duo and all other software
- Manage, motivate, develop and technical support leadership to direct reports ensuring that all direct reports have a clear plan for training and development.
- Ensure Incidents, Service Requests, problems and Changes are actioned within the agreed SLA
- Produce monthly IT Service MI reports to demonstrate performance of key SLAs and KPIs.
- Lead and/or participate in internal and external audits as required
- Maintaining an up to date and in-depth knowledge of technology within the industry, horizon scanning and researching finance specific technology and risks.
- Prepared to work out of hours and weekends when required.
- Represent the IT team and the Society on working parties and in meetings as required.
IT Support Manager - Essential Skills:
- Proven IT management & experience with people management and a Technical Support background
- In depth understanding of technical troubleshooting and IT security
- Experience in the Microsoft software suite from Windows Server, Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Microsoft Defender
- Experience of managing a high number of suppliers
- High level overview of cloud computing
Desirable skills include:
- Microsoft MCSA or MCSE qualification
- Microsoft Azure qualification
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Financial Sector/Building Society Services experience
