IT Systems Administrator - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Prestigious opportunity with a pioneering Research organisation for an IT Systems Administrator to be based in our central Manchester offices. Following a period of significant growth and success, we are seeking to expand our team.As our IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for:-

• Assisting the IT Manager with on-site support and management of our networks, firewalls and virtualisation systems.
• 2nd line support for the IT Helpdesk and 1st line End user support when required.
• Managing Active Directory and administering, configuring and supporting Windows servers.
• Maintaining a robust and secure IT environment.
• Implementing and enforcing the IT security policy.

If you possess a combination of some of the following skills, then LETS TALK!

• Experience in 1st and 2nd line user support
• Administration, configuration and support of Windows server systems
• Active Directory and Group Policy
• Previous experience working with enterprise-class virtualisation platforms, VMware, Hyper-v etc
• Network troubleshooting and managing firewalls
• Mobile Device Management (MDM) is advantageous but not essential
• Understanding of cloud platforms - Azure
