IT Technician / Remote Monitoring Software Support Engineer who has some experience providing remote technical support via remote access tools, installing software and has strong troubleshooting skills is required for a busy Helpdesk with well-established and leading digital print solution and telecoms provider based in Hertford, Hertfordshire.

SALARY: £22,000 - £27,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits

LOCATION: Hertford, Hertfordshire - 100% Office Based

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

We have a fantastic new job opportunity within a busy Helpdesk Team for an IT Technician / Remote Monitoring Software Support Engineer (officially known within the business as a Remote Monitoring Engineer)who has some experience providing remote technical support via remote access tools, installing software and has strong troubleshooting skills.

Working as the IT Technician / Remote Monitoring Software Support Engineer you will join the company’s Helpdesk Team where you will be the dedicated Remote Monitoring Engineer.

As the IT Technician / Remote Monitoring Software Support Engineer you will be responsible for setting up, installing and administering the company’s remote monitoring platforms.

DUTIES

Your duties as the IT Technician / Remote Monitoring Software Support Engineer include:

  • Setup and administer all of the company’s remote monitoring platforms
  • Work with other departments and customers to get remote monitoring functional at customers sites
  • Remotely assist Engineers on configuring and setting up the platforms
  • Investigate and troubleshoot monitoring failures and faults
  • Perform admin duties to keep the platforms up to date

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient with remote tools
  • Strong communication skills including excellent telephone manner
  • Experience with installing various software onto client PCs and MACs
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure
  • A good understanding of networking protocols
