The focus of the role

  • Managing a portfolio of up to 170- 180 clients.
  • Communicating with clients, in a timely professional manner via calls and emails.
  • Focus of providing excellent customer service
  • Assisting & training clients on the use of our bookkeeping portal
  • Providing tax planning and ad hoc advice when required.
  • Reviewing accounts and approving them to be sent to the client.
  • Preparing self-assessment tax returns to send to clients for approval.

As a Trainee Accountant you will provide support to both internal staff and external clients and will work predominately with our team at the Clever office in Leeds.

The role will comprise of providing support and advice to sole trader and limited company clients and assisting them with day-to-day accounting duties.

Full, on the job training will be provided, together with allowances for ACCA study support.

This role is hands-on, will be communicating with clients on a daily basis and will hold a portfolio of clients.

You must have at least 1 years of experience in an accountant's office and already dealing with VAT, year-end accounts and Payroll

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with financial and management accounts preparation for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
  • Assisting with managing client expectations and deadlines.
  • Assisting with the preparation of personal and business tax returns.
  • Providiing excellent client support and advice to your client portfolio.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
  • Assisting with general administrative duties including meeting and greeting clients, filing, answering the telephone and supporting the team to meet deadlines as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
