Junior Buyer – Leeds - c£25k-£28k

Our client, a market leading component manufacturer in Leeds, seek to appoint a Junior Buyer into an operational purchasng role, sourcing and expediting components and materials for production.

You will be responsible for:

• operational purchasing - identifying, sourcing and purchasing materials daily for factory production
• expediting orders - working with suppliers to ensure on time delivery
• collating information to help produce daily, weekly & monthly KPIs
• stock control & inventory management – forecasting stock requirements, monitoring inventory levels and re-ordering accordingly and in line with demand.

Skills & Abilities:

• operational purchasing
• experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• commercially astute
• stock control and inventory management experience – maintaining min & max stock levels etc
• strong interpersonal skills - building relationships internally and externally with suppliers
• team player with a can-do attitude, strong problem solving and ability to work on own initiative.
