35 hour working week, Mon - Fri, 9am - 4.30pm

A brand-new opportunity for a Junior IT Technician to join the IT Department of a unique and progressive manufacturing organisation in Birmingham.

The role -

Reporting to the IT Support Manager and working as part of a friendly team focused department, the role requires practical IT experience working in a business environment.

Daily responsibilities will include -

Provide in-person and remote support to employees and users of the company IT systems.

Install and commission company computers, hardware and software, as required.

Maintain and update data cabling requirements, installing new cabling where required.

Upgrade existing software, as required.

Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the company network infrastructure.

Support the IT Department with their duties.

About you -

To be considered for the opportunity of Junior IT Technician, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Proven practical IT experience working in a business environment.
• Basic computer and network knowledge.
• Microsoft Windows operational skills.
• Effective communication skills in person and by phone.
• Able to build professional relations, to work as part of a team and across the wider business.
• Willingness to learn and work under instruction to further develop your IT skills.
• An office-based role, you will be flexible to travel to other sites, as required.
