Kitchen Porter - Berry Recruitment : Job Details

Do you need extra work before christmas? We require Kitchen Porters working within the John Lewis Department store in Oxford to assist the busy festive period!

Location: Oxford CIty Centre

Hours: Between 10am - 1900 - Monday to Sunday

Start date: ASAP -

Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour

About the role:

As the Kitchen Porter, your responsibilities will include:

• Washing up and clearing all kitchen areas
• Operating the dishwasher
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and safe.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations.
• Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors
• Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly

About you as the Kitchen Porter:

• Good level of physical fitness - not just because you're on your feet all day, but also for unloading occasional deliveries
• Ability to work alone with minimal instruction, be self-led and take initiative along with working as part of a larger team
• Good time management skills - the kitchen gets busy, so keeping on top of routine tasks whilst being able to deal with ad-hoc extra duties is essential
• Ability to communicate well across the team
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and follow instruction
