Tradewind are recruiting for a PRU Teacher!

Tradewind are recruiting for a PRU Teacher to start ASAP on a full time & long term basis at a secondary alternative education provision in the Walsall area catering for pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH needs.

Start ASAP, full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Excellent pay up to £230/day for the first 12 weeks - DOE

Equal pay to permanent staff in similar role from 13th week onward, on a pro-rata daily rate basis.

Paid PAYE via Tradewind, we don't use umbrella companies!

Hours - Mon 8:30am - 3:30pm

Temporary to permanent for the right person.

Easily accessible by car, tram, train and bus.

You will be teaching children aged 11-16 who all have an EHCP for Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs as well as associated obstacles to learning such as Autism, ADHD and SpLD.

Due to the nature of the pupils they are looking for a teacher who is passionate, energetic and resilient while also being able to motivate and engage hard to reach young people.

Pupils are at KS3 & 4 age although they are working at much lower levels than expected for their age. You will be required to teach across the curriculum and differentiate for the individual needs, levels and behaviours of each pupil.

You will be teaching one group throughout the day a variety of subjects. All pupils are working at lower levels than expected for their age with some working at Primary level. Each class has no more than 8 pupils with experienced TA support.

They focus on safety, inclusion and holistic outcomes while striving for each pupil to reach their full potential.

To join us and be successful in this Secondary PRU Teacher role, you will need:

  • QTS, QTLS or other relevant teaching qualification.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Minimum of 2 professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Overseas Police checks (if applicable).
