Role: L&D Trainer (IT/Systems focus)
Location: Bridgend (hybrid)
Salary: Up to £40k
Position Summary:
Currently working with one of Wales's most reputable housing association. We are now looking for a L&D Trainer to take responsibility for ensuring all users have a strong understanding of the organisation's systems. This role focuses on creating high-quality, engaging training, evaluating its effectiveness, and continuously improving the learning offering. Additionally, the advisor will support expert super users to ensure best practices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams for new systems, ensuring end user needs are considered.
- Plan, create, and deliver training programmes for all organisational systems.
- Work with departments and subject matter experts to assess and define training needs.
- Design and deliver practical, hands-on training through a mix of face-to-face and online formats.
- Create and maintain detailed written instructions and e-learning content (e.g., videos, quizzes).
- Oversee the development and support of a network of super users, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Ensure training content is relevant and continuously improved based on feedback.
- Coordinate both classroom and virtual training sessions.
- Maintain training data integrity and reporting.

- Foster a supportive, high-performance training environment.
- Promote continuous improvement and efficiency within the training function.
- Develop the expert user team, emphasizing excellence, compliance, and quality.
- Model organisational values and behaviors at all times.
- Provide support and deputise for the team when needed.
- Complete mandatory training and professional development.
Knowledge/Qualifications:
- Training qualification at Level 4 or above (desirable)
- Proficient in GSuite
- IT qualification at 'A' Level or equivalent (preferred)
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Experience:
- Full learning and development cycle experience, from needs analysis to delivery and evaluation.
- Experienced in delivering learning in classroom, virtual, and blended formats.
- Skilled in developing learning resources.
- Experience in supervising and supporting colleagues.

- Strong presentation and communication skills, able to engage diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and engagingly.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
