Laboratory Assistant

Stroud - Permanent – fulltime (39 Hours). Day Shifts M-F. Salary DOE

Due to growth, there is a new opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant to join a thriving manufacturing team. Working in the Aerospace and Defence sectors. Ideally looking for someone with a Chemistry background & experience but for the right candidate training will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on laboratory setting while contributing to a company that values safety, precision, and environmental care.

The Role:

·        Assisting in the collection and testing of treatment solutions used in plating and anodising processes.

·        Ensuring the maintenance and accurate calibration of laboratory equipment.

·        Handling the transfer of solutions for replacement and managing waste disposal activities.

·        Performing regular sampling and analysis of plating and anodising chemicals.

·        Troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining analytical instruments to ensure accurate results.

·        Upholding high standards of cleanliness and organization within the laboratory environment.

·        Recording and managing data with precision and attention to detail.

·        Promoting environmental responsibility in line with company policies.

·        Adhering to company health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.

·        Willing to learn, passion for problem solving.

·        Computer literate

·        Excellent attention to detail

·        Methodical and organised

·        Qualifications – Maths, English & chemistry (GCSE Minimum)

·        Desirable – Experienced in laboratory environment, working in AS9100/NADCAP environment.
