Job Description

• Job Title: Laboratory Sample Technician 
• Job Type: Permanent
• Location: Ellesmere Port
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday
• Salary: £23,400
• Industry: Oil and Gas 

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sample Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the storage, receipt, and distribution of samples to support laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, catalog, and store samples in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure accurate labeling and tracking of all samples.
• Maintain inventory records and manage sample disposal as required.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely delivery of samples for testing.
• Follow health, safety, and quality standards to maintain compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sample handling or warehouse role is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
