Job Description

Job Title: Laboratory Technician 

Job Type: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (37.5 hours per week) 

Job Location: Hebden Bridge

As a Laboratory Technician, you will assist the team in delivering an efficient, high quality food allergen and authenticity analysis using ELISA and DNA/protein based methodologies

  • Accurately follow laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures for the preparation and extraction of samples for analysis
  • Working to strict deadlines to ensure compliance 
  • Complete all laboratory documentation in a timely and compliant manner
  • To assist with sample registration using internal system as and when required

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of allergen testing in food - highly advantageous 
  • Previous Laboratory experience - essential 
  • Qualifications within Chemistry / Bio Chemistry / Biology - essential
