LEAD CREDIT RISK ANALYST - STRATEGY

£50,000 to £65,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Credit Risk Analyst to join a leading global financial services provider. This role focuses on the design and development of unsecured credit card strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytics background, with experience in credit risk strategy and the ability to work with senior stakeholders to shape critical credit decisions.

THE ROLE

As a Lead Credit Risk Analyst, you will take a leadership role in the development and execution of unsecured credit card strategies. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the design of credit strategies for unsecured credit card products.
• Set risk appetite and ensure strategies align with business objectives.
• Monitor and analyse portfolio performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to gain buy-in and drive strategic initiatives.
• Utilise SAS/SQL for data analysis; transition to Python in 2024 to enhance analytical capabilities.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement abilities, and experience in unsecured credit strategies.

Essential:

• 5+ years of experience in credit risk strategy or financial services analytics.
• Proficiency in SAS and/or SQL.
• Background in analytics and credit risk strategy
• Experience in unsecured lending or credit card strategy
• Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in SAS and/or SQL
