An exciting opportunity within UK's largest retail bank and household name are looking Lead DevOps Engineer based in London.

Role: Lead DevOps Engineer

Location: London (2 days week on site)

Duration: 6 Months

Status: Inside IR35

Rate: Circa £850/Day

Candidate will lead a small team of talented engineers, driving the development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of our services.

Experience and skills Required:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Lead, with leading small teams.
• Extensive experience with Azure public cloud services.
• Proficiency in Terraform and Chef for IaC and configuration management.
• Strong understanding of IaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Experience with distributed computing environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using Azure public cloud.
• Utilize Terraform and Chef for infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management.
• Manage both Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of distributed computing environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align DevOps practices with business objectives.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, implementing best practices for security and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
