Lead and take ownership of complex problems using appropriate fault-finding skills and tools to aid fault diagnosis.The planning aspect of this role requires proactively working with resources within your team and other engineering departments to produce and implement work plan packs and schedules to maintain maximum efficiency of the assets.Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer - The Rewards

Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer - Requirements
- Manufacturing experience as a Lead or Senior Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineer
- Time served with recognised qualifications
- Experience in heavy manufacturing/engineering
- Established understanding in core Electrical principles and infrastructure
- Understanding of Automation, Control and Instrumentation together with experience in Variable speed drives
- Understanding of relevant Electrical and Automation standards
Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer - Responsibilities
- Ensuring a safe working environment is being maintained at all times, complying with all company safety procedures and legislation.
- Complying with the site’s Environmental Management System to reduce potential hazards in the working environment, ensure safety of employees, and ensure efficient use of materials to reduce our environmental impact.
- Participate/lead company investigations including root cause analysis, creation of risk assessments, SSOW (Safe Systems of Work) and developing maintenance procedures as required.
- Participate in Processes (Lean) for Operational departments
- Function as a technical lead via decision-making and problem-solving, and reporting outcomes of investigations to relevant stakeholders
- Planning maintenance work in line with Company policies, focusing on method statements, risk assessments, isolation requirements, parts lists, manuals and drawings.
- Estimating the total cost of each maintenance task/work order with respect to direct labour and materials and considering the availability of special parts and tools.
- Working with Production Planning and Management to create optimal maintenance and shutdown schedules, before communicating these to relevant teams
