Job Description :

Scottish Power Renewables are looking for a Lead Installation Manager to join their East Anglia 1 Project, focussing on Monopile foundation installations. Role: FT&I Lead Installation Manager Business: Scottish Power Renewables - EA1N Duration: Initial contract until 31/10/2025 Location: London or Glasgow/hybrid style working (2 days per week in office) Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available Main Purpose of JobThe Lead Installation Manager shall be assigned to East Anglia One North project and shall be responsible for managing the safe and efficient completion of the transportation and installation element of the WTG Foundation scope of works Main Functions and TasksProject Management

  • Coordination of all package specific interface tasks required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the project’s Interface Management Plan.
  • Responsibility for management of Certified Verification Agency (CVA) approval process for Transportation and Installation.
  • Responsible for implementing and managing an effective communication protocol, information sharing and document review process between the package management team, the Contractor, any Related Works Contractors, the Marine Warranty Surveyor, the Independent Verification Society and the Site Management teams.
  • Responsible to complete or organize, as applicable, the administrative tasks needed by the company and project(s) of assignment, related to the planning and execution of installation works.

Procurement

  • Coordination and management of technical documentations
  • Technical assessment of bids including: Assessment of T&I solution including consents compliance check Analysis of bidder’s programme of work Weather analysis Vessel assurance check Technical risk assessment.
  • Supporting the technical evaluation process including coordination with all reviewers involved in the technical assessment.

Consents

  • Responsible for coordinating the preparation of the package’s consent deliverables.
  • Provision of technical assistance to the consenting team to assist them in discharging the project’s consent conditions.

Engineering

  • Responsible for the management and completion of the Conceptual Design for T&I and all Interface engineering activities.
  • Responsible for management and approval of Contractors installation engineering activities.
  • Responsible for defining a work package survey strategy and for managing the completion of all package specific survey works.
  • Responsible for preparation of the T&I elements of any documents that are required to support the discharge of our consents.
  • Management of T&I Contractors detailed design process for T&I.
  • Management of T&I Contractors Transportation & Installation works including approval of Contractors procedures.
  • Responsible for the review, approval and management of change of the Contractors procedures and engineering studies and analysis.
  • Responsible for liaison with and management of Marine Warranty Surveyor.
  • Responsible for the management and daily coordination of the offshore works.
  • Responsible for managing and applying the Vessel Assurance process.
  • Responsible for approving the as-installed records.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting progress against programme.
  • Responsible for providing support to the quality manager to ensure satisfactory close out of NCRs relating to transportation and installation.

In addition to the above the Lead Installation Manager may be required to act as deputy to the Package Manager and may be delegated additional responsibilities for health and safety management, budgeting, planning, procurement, and reporting. Key Criteria

  • Minimum 10 years experience in offshore wind or subsea installation discipline
  • Proven track record of safely managing the execution of complex offshore works in hazardous marine environments.
  • Experience within Monopile turbine installations
  • Demonstrable experiences in:
    • Installation engineering design.
    • Production and review of specification and tender documents.
    • Contracts (/subcontracts) negotiations (technical aspects).
    • Construction planning.

Skills and KnowledgeWorking knowledge and understanding of:

  • UK and European Health and Safety legislation relevant to marine operations.
  • DNV standards for offshore structure installation and marine operations.
  • Construction planning, Estimations & Risk Management.
  • Commercial awareness (incl. FIDIC contracts).
