Position Available: Lead Power Electronics EngineerLocation: HertfordshireSalary: Up to £60,000 (DoE) + BonusExperience needed: We are seeking an experienced Power Electronics Engineer with a strong background in electronic design, team leadership, and process improvement. You should have expertise in power electronics circuit design, prototyping, and testing, with the ability to manage resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-efficient project delivery.

About the role:As a Power Electronics Team Leader, you'll play a key role in designing high-integrity, complex systems for our cutting-edge products. You will lead a team responsible for developing electronic equipment that ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient integration of our products into various platforms. In this role, you will inspire innovation, encourage collaboration, and drive continuous improvement while managing the day-to-day operations of a small team of engineers.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing technical direction and mentorship
  • Design, develop, and test power electronics circuits and hardware
  • Oversee the integration and design proving of electronic systems
  • Support process improvements to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure on-time, cost-effective project delivery
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving innovation

What we need from you:

  • Significant experience in Power Electronics design and development
  • Proven leadership skills or a strong ambition to step into a leadership role
  • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline with post-qualification experience
  • A proactive mindset, eager to challenge existing processes and introduce fresh ideas
  • Experience managing budgets and resources in a project environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate
