At CrossReach, we’re looking for a Lead Practitioner to play a key role in providing outstanding care and support to children and families. As part of our dedicated team, you’ll help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive, overcome challenges, and build brighter futures.
What You’ll Be Doing Leading by Example Support and guide a team of practitioners, ensuring high-quality care and a therapeutic approach in all interactions. Developing Care Plans Work closely with young people, families, and external professionals to create and implement individual care and education plans. Empowering Young People Provide a stable, supportive presence, using approaches like Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy (PACE) to build positive relationships. Promoting Independence Help young people develop life skills, from managing daily routines to engaging in their community. Continuous Learning Lead training, assessments, and support for staff, ensuring they develop their skills and deliver the best possible care.
What We’re Looking For Experience in a care or education setting, supporting children and young people. HNC Social Care and SVQ Level 3 (or willingness to achieve within SSSC registration period). Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide and mentor a team. A full driving licence. Knowledge of attachment theory, trauma-informed practice, or counselling skills would be a bonus.
