The Opportunity

We are recruiting this role due to a wide range of new change initiatives with one of our largest clients. You will manage and deliver multiple projects or programme work-streams to meet business objectives. The role is best suited for an experienced Senior PM looking to step up or an established Lead PM - the successful candidate will also need to have background in release management.

It is based in Edinburgh and will be hybrid so 2/3 days a week at home is acceptable.

You'll be:

  • Manage the successful projects / workstreams within the agreed time, cost and quality criteria to ensure meets the business requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • Analyse the performance of the projects, recommend and implement corrective action to cover gaps
  • Develop and maintain appropriate project disciplines and controls to ensure successful and controlled project delivery
  • Identify, evaluate and manage risks to the project, implementing appropriate actions to mitigate risk using risk management techniques
  • Produce project documentation in line with the agreed methodology and provide regular, timely and accurate updates on progress
  • Provide management direction and leadership to the project team to ensure successful delivery
  • Manage and deliver projects in line with the BaNCS release approach and process

You should apply if you:

  • An experienced project manager with an excellent understanding of project management techniques and disciplines
  • Experience of management and motivation of a team of specialist and non-specialist staff
  • Experience of managing medium to high scale and / or medium to high risk projects in a commercial outsource organisation and / or financial services environment.
  • Has experience of managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Multi-disciplinary experience and has demonstrated ability to quickly come up to speed on new areas, to quickly build credibility with professionals from other disciplines
  • Has driven business solution identification and project initiation
  • Has depth and breadth of experience of Life + Pensions operation and a strong knowledge of its internal functions.

Salary : 70000 - 80000
