TYNE & WEAR (Ref 687) permanent

£40k - £50k depending on experience + benefits + half day Friday or 9 day fortnight

Looking for a true L&D role, where people are at the heart of the business and continued learning is genuinely valued? From Apprentices, Graduates and experienced colleagues, you will play a key role in the continued success of the business.

This is a newly created role to support the Learning and Development Manager to create and deliver meaningful and empowering learning and training solutions, ensuring everyone in the business has continual learning and development opportunities.

What you’ll be doing -

  • Create, design and deliver developmental training for new and existing colleagues, including management development training
  • Delivery of 1:1 and group training using various delivery methods, including both classroom and virtual platforms
  • Ensuring learning events are timely, focused, and relevant and align to individual and business needs
  • Ensuring quality of learning and training delivery through feedback, continuous improvement and application of learning
  • Lead on the development of the company learning LMS system, supported by the wider HR team to ensure content is relevant and used effectively
  • Monitor and report on the company training plan; supporting the review of training identified from appraisals / PMD process
  • Oversee maintenance of training records on the LMS to ensure accurate record keeping and support internal and external audit procedures
  • Support the HRBPS in the delivery of additional L&D initiatives such as HR, Wellbeing and Mentoring Programmes
  • Support the HRBPs and Operational Leads with the recruitment of apprentices and graduates and oversee both schemes to ensure achievement and continuation of regulated body accreditation
  • Support apprentice and graduate development activities
  • Manage STEM activities, working with the STEM Ambassadors to plan coordinated, scheduled activities growing the network with schools, universities and recognised STEM bodies

Knowledge, experience & skills you’ll need -

  • Proven experience within a similar Learning and Development role
  • Experience of L&D/HR databases/systems
  • Experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning interventions and programs.
  • Good organisational skills, both written and verbal
  • Digital learning design and delivery experience
  • Self-motivated, proactive approach with excellent people skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Up to date knowledge of legislation
  • Experience of preparing or managing a budget preferred although not essential
  • Working knowledge of the Apprenticeship levy and the use of the Digital Account System
  • Flexibility to travel between business sites
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage complexities of high volume of tasks with conflicting deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary : 40000 - 50000
